Some may doubt the miracle of the multiplication of loaves—we get it. But multiplying computers is actually possible.
Creating virtual machines with tools like VirtualBox or VMware is common. Using Docker containers to deliver applications or services exactly as the developer intended is already a standard practice. But there are more options—more tools to run virtual machines, and different types of containers for other purposes.
In this session, we’ll explore how LXD offers a unique, more flexible, scalable, and simpler solution—an alternative and/or complement to popular tools like VirtualBox and Docker.
With LXD, you’ll learn how to create an infrastructure that provides capabilities similar to Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Azure—such as virtual machines, virtual networks, snapshots, official standard images, and custom images—but that can run on your own computer, even on something as small as a Raspberry Pi.
Learn how to perform the miracle of multiplying computers!
